In 1990 he joined his wife, Sheila, to form Mills Consulting, specializing in career and management development for administrative and managerial employees. Among Russ’s clients are Johnson & Johnson, Depuy, Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Vistakon, Air Force Electronic Systems Command, VA Healthcare Systems, and Defense Intelligence Agency. Russ is one of two instructors for Johnson & Johnson corporate program-- “Manager and the Law”.

Russell J. Mills

Russ Mills is a human resources consultant with particular expertise in management and career development. He has designed and presented workshops in leadership skills, performance management, career development, and career transition for corporate, government, military and hospital clients.

Russ began his career as a high school business teacher. He then worked in government as a management development specialist with the New York State Department of Transportation. From state government he moved to the corporate world spending a total of ten years in Human Resource Management positions in the pharmaceutical, aluminum, and electronics industries.

In 1985 Russ formed his own consulting firm, Pfann/Mills & Assoc., specializing in executive outplacement and human resources consulting. In 1988 the firm merged with the national consulting firm Goodrich & Sherwood where Russ was a vice president in the career counseling and human resources consulting practices.

Russ Mills holds a BS in Business Administration and an MS in Education form U Albany and is a qualified MBTI administrator. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army including service in Vietnam.
